FRENCH label Lacoste is now available at the KL International Airport in Se-pang. A reception to celebrate the opening of the apparel boutique was recently held at the Traveller's Bar of Pan Pacific Hotel KLIA.
Malaysia Airports managing director Datuk Seri Bashir Ahmad when addressing the gathering said Eraman Malaysia, a 100% subsidiary of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, carries 13 international brands at KLIA currently.
With its opening, Lacoste has joined the ranks of Burberry, Tie Rack, Guy Laroche, Calvin Klein, Hunting World, Mango, Toscow, Alviero Martini, Trussardi, Gianfranco Ferre and Thomas Sabo.
Some of the brands are also available at the Penang and Kuching international airports.
At a press conference later, Bashir said Malaysia Airports was in final discussion with the Government on the proposed expansion plans for the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT-KLIA) also in Sepang.
Also at the reception were Miwaki Sdn Bhd managing director Carole Ooi, Devanlay Lacoste regional director Gilles Mennessier and French Trade Commission representative Yassine Amraoui.
Miwaki is the sole distributor of Lacoste in Malaysia.
Lacoste @ KLIA offers Lacoste Sportswear representing the mainstream Lacoste collection for everyday use, Lacoste Sport for functionality and active wear for generic sports.
The immensely popular Lacoste Polo shirt is credited for its fine mesh knit and honeycomb structure ensuring lightweight comfort and softness. The range is available in 55 colours.
A few local celebrities like Mawi, Ashraff Sinclair and Suki, winner of 8TV’s “One In A Million” show, were at the opening. They were later given the opportunity to shop at the boutique.
