Hi,
All i can do is say that i'm damn dissapointed with Macy Malaysia. I received my 2 sofa sets (i spent more than 10K) earlier than my move in day. So i kept them still in the original packaging in my hall. When i opened them on the day i move in, 1 set had FUNGUS on it and the color of the fabric is different. The other set is perfectly fine and new!
What i'm upset about, is customer service refuse to change it for free. Can you imagine what fungus can do to your health? And i have young children. 1 of the set has so much fungus i dare not open the packaging yet. (i opened enough to peep in)
I have insisted that customer service send someone more senior to "check". Let's see what they say. I'll keep you posted.

BUYER BEWARE !! Open your sofa's immediately, instead of being so trusting that all the sofa's are brand new. The delivery ppl didn't even wait or ask me to check or open it. So i thought the guarantee would hold better, while in original packaging.

Yea.. it's me again. After insisting that Macy sends a more senior person to investigate the mold on the new sofa, a gentleman did pay a visit.
Wow, i'm impressed by his customer service and ethics. The Asst. GM of the manufacturer (macy buys from Dynamic) actually dropped by. He realises the harm mold can do and told me very honestly that this sofa should never be used and nothing from it can be salvaged.

He will recommend strongly to Macy that this be changed under warranty. But it's still ultimately up to Macy...

Again, in the spirit of good customer service, he told Macy to remove it asap so that my kids won't develop any allergies.

Will again, keep you folks posted on the outcome.

FABULOUS !! Macy customer service just called to say they will make a full exchange (FOC) for the moldy sets !

I'm well happy. Now this is how customer service should be.

Well Done Macy. I will be returning for more stuff.

I wish to say thank you to Ishwari (Macy) and Mr Khoo from Dynamic. Both very courteous and professional.
